Understand your inhaler options

Before discussing a prescription, compare the medicine, device and cost. Our guides explain Pulmicort alternatives and questions before switching and Advair Diskus versus Wixela Inhub. FAQ

What if I am having an asthma attack right now?

Use your rescue inhaler, and call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department if your breathing does not improve. An online consultation is not for urgent breathing problems and does not replace emergency care.

Which asthma treatments can be prescribed online?

Rescue inhalers such as albuterol and levalbuterol, daily maintenance inhalers with an inhaled corticosteroid alone or combined with a long acting bronchodilator, nebulizer solutions, and tablets such as montelukast. Every option on this page is listed with its price.

Can I switch to a generic inhaler and pay less?

Often yes. Many inhalers here also exist as a generic with the same active ingredients, and both are listed with their prices. Your provider confirms the switch is appropriate before prescribing it.

Do I need an in-person visit, and what information will I need to provide?

No in-person visit is needed. The consultation asks about your diagnosis, your current medication, how often you reach for a rescue inhaler and your other conditions. If your provider needs more than that, you are told before anything is prescribed.

Do I have to subscribe?

No. Every treatment shows the single order price and the subscription price before you pay. On a subscription, your next refill date is shown in your account, and you can cancel by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time the day before to skip it. Refills already approved, dispensed or shipped cannot be canceled or refunded.

Who fills and ships my prescription?

A licensed U.S. pharmacy fills it and ships it free, in plain packaging, with a tracking link sent the moment it leaves. Transit time after that depends on your location and the partner pharmacy.
